Xiangyu Wenshu Academy
Named after Premier Zhou Enlai's courtesy name 'Xiangyu' and his wife Deng Yingchao's original name 'Wenshu', inheriting the spirit of great leaders and dedicated to cultivating outstanding talents with global vision, cross-cultural understanding, and innovation.
Academy Heritage
Xiangyu Wenshu Academy was established with the approval of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee and the Nanning Municipal Education Bureau, co-founded by the Xiangyu Wenshu Foundation and Guangxi Overseas Chinese School.
Guangxi Overseas Chinese School, founded in 1960 under the care of Premier Zhou Enlai, is China’s oldest Chinese language and culture school. It holds the distinction of being one of the first batch of Chinese Language Education Bases designated by the State Council and a Chinese Overseas International Cultural Exchange Base.
The Academy is named after Premier Zhou Enlai’s courtesy name ‘Xiangyu’ and his wife Deng Yingchao’s original name ‘Wenshu’. Zhou Enlai’s niece Zhou Bingde serves as Honorary Dean, carrying on the great spirit and continuing the legacy of Sino-foreign friendship.
